What’s The Damn Prize Money for 2026?

8 weeks after the master Tommo closed the lofts he STILL hasn’t said publicly what the prize money is. Even though over 1300 pigeon have been entered and paid for no mention publicly of prize money what so ever.

So not including the 104 ventures pigeons in the pot to bulk up the failing entries there are 1314 pigeons in. Thats over £195,000 in the bank. All through the his relentless promotion of the race no prize money, no 1st Place guarantee prize has ever been mentioned, yet still he persuaded 214 people to part with their money.

Most other OLRs simply state well ahead of any one parting with their hard earned money “If we get XYZ amount of pigeons the prize pot with this this, if we fill the loft the prize pot with be XYZ.”

But oh no, not the master, the master doesn’t follow the normal rules. He makes his own rules.

So 4 weeks before the pigeons are due to start training, no one is publicly any the wiser as to how much of the £195K he’s had in they are actually racing for. He also has 96 WDW Venture pigeons in the game to sell too, so that should be another £14,400 in the pot, making total gross income to around £209,000. So how much of this is he actually going to part with? Your guess is as good as mine. But based on other good OLRs you would expect or hope to see 50% of the money being paid out, so around £100K in total. I wouldn’t hold my breath for that though.

I feel sorry for the competitors. Some poor person has lost half their birds already off the loft before training even starts. If he has privately told people what the prize money will be, why isn’t he shouting it from the roof tops on social media as he normally does every year? Two potential reasons? He’s embarrassed to publicly says what the prize money is or he’s waiting to sell his venture pigeons to know exactly how much money he has in the bank and then finally he will tell people. Either way, it’s a terrible way of acting, but why would we expect anything else?

Remember folks… Who Dares…. I WIN… Gary Tomlinson.

The Master of pigeon racing and one loft races…. Not…
